All of our wooden rune sets contain all 24 runic letters from the Elder Futhark, the first and oldest Runic Alphabet. All rune sets are hand carved on a variety of domestic and exotic woods. For a detailed description of the different characteristics of the each wood please visit Wood Properties.

Each wooden rune set is hand carved, sanded and oiled and comes with a custom handmade cotton bag and information booklet. The booklet gives a detailed description of each runes name, pronunciation, translation, corresponding English equivalent and most importantly, how it should be interpreted within a casting. Currently we offer two styles of wooden rune sets, long and short. The long rune sets are approximately 2½ inches tall and ¾ wide. Our short rune sets are approximately 1¼ inches tall by 1 inch wide. In order to protect the wood used in the making of our rune sets they are all finished with a locally produced water resistance teak oil. We specifically use teak oil because it is a natural way to protect and enhance the richness of the wood.

Please remember that each rune set is hand carved and sanded. Wood is an organic material and therefore each rune may vary slightly from rune to rune and also from set to set, making each rune set truly one of a kind.
